So in the beginning, I always liked rocks and would stop and pick them up off the ground if they looked cool or if they were flat and smooth.
Once my friend from Utah Started sending me these polished rocks she said she had put in a tumbler for like a month. I started getting more and more interested in some of the rocks she was sending.

So I discovered the Internet and the ability to order almost any rock I thought looked cool after it was polished but I didn’t want to-buy them already done. So I started collecting more from wherever I went , to the store, walks , hikes any rock I could see that I thought would be cool I picked up. Well then I had to buy my own Tumbler and start tumbling my own Rocks. Now I can make these unusual looking rocks shiny and pretty. Long story-sort of short and many tumblers later , I started thinking, what am I going do with so many pounds and different types of polished rock. So I started reading about the metaphysical healing properties and uses for chakras . People believe that different rocks have healing powers , calming and self-empowerment and protective properties

So no not knowing enough about all of that I just went with , what I felt about my rocks. They are just too cool to keep stock piling and not showing them off.

So I started cutting some of my polished rocks , thinking of Ways to display them or maybe make a cool keychain or something. I started using a hammer on some, making shiny chunks. All kinds of different things and ideas started happening.
I started needing more tools , more grit for tumbling , wet slab saws, polishing machines etc.

Who knows maybe working with some of these rocks really has helped in my creative thinking, and the feeling of being on a natural high.? Seeing a rough rock I turned into something more and even desired by others was definitely one of my ahah moments I realized now,
I am “always naturally stoned”!

I have the best and most supportive husband, I realize I am living my most less stressed life EVER!

Like most of us we all have our struggles and life’s obstacles to deal with. Some of us on a daily basis. I chose from an early age to view my struggles as a challenge. It was a way of dealing with them in a manner that seemed to works for me. Not to mention I played every and any sport I could growing up and in school etc. I also love to gamble , so a challenge seemed only appropriate! Winning meant I overcame whatever obstacles I was facing at the time. Really that meant losing was never an option. So even if it took longer then I had hoped or the obstacles seemed never ending, I had to adjust my thinking and learn what I needed as I kept on fighting through it.

Man that can get old at times. This is life though, and we all have our obstacles.

I learned after years of going through “IT” I have the choice of my own reaction. I can choose to see it one way or the other. Don’t get me wrong, I still choose the wrong way now and then. I think it’s a reminder at times , to stay the course. Remain focused on what’s working.

So from kickball, soccer, softball, track and field, flag football, basketball ,professional women’s football and drag racing. I now find myself creating pieces of jewelry. WHAT??

Since those things filled my life with so many different levels of joy and accomplishments along the way, I honestly wasn’t sure what was next. Of course there is a lot of other things In between sports and life today , but do you really want to keep reading ?

So here I am today making jewelry which seems to fulfill the void of doing something.

It is very therapeutic and allows me the feelings of accomplishment. It also acts as a way of grounding me, in the sense of focusing on something other then physical pain and the things I can’t change. It keeps your brain thinking, keeps me motivated to finish a piece so I see the personal victory of the “finish line” another win!

So what’s a girl to do with so many victories hanging all over her home. I am literally running out of wall space. So here we are , at Always Naturally Stoned. A format to share some of my pieces and some of the sales.

I will be donating 10% of all sales to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research. I personally have been a part of many of the trials and tried many types of medicines offered, so let’s just say they need to keep researching!! And it is true every little bit helps. So if your one of the thinkers that think , things happen for a reason, I’m choosing to think-that my fight against MS is a way of changing my focus. The things I used to LIVE to do I’m trying to make some of my great life experiences that I can reflect on, and remember they also made who I am today.

So rocks and coffee are my medicines. So maybe with some extra research funds for MS we can change the future for all who have MS?

Thanks for clicking on my website. If my creations aren’t your style , share it with someone you think may like them.

All my pieces are made with natural stones. “NATURALLY “ lol. And I can say since nothing is exact, they are one of a kind. I will always be as descriptive as the notes I made and the recall my memory has. I do forget what stones I used at times. I didn’t think it mattered when I was just staying busy and making sure I always completed a piece to hang on my wall. Well now you know the story I am running out of wall space, and somethings should be shared. Let’s hope some of my pain can be yours and MS research gain.

Check out the loose stones I’ve polished, great for reiki healing and chakra balancing, and the metaphysical power they can bring you. I also will offer stones in the rough.
